My Summer months were full of activity within my studio and without—from old friends and reminiscing to adopting fresh creative modes and travel. It also marked an important transition. Since 2019, I have immersed myself in socially and environmentally engaged curatorial work as Northern California Women’s Caucus for Art’s Exhibitions Chair. After six fulfilling years, I passed the baton to my amazing colleague, artist Christine Cianci. During my tenure, I formed the NCWCA Exhibitions Committee to support the organization’s growing exhibition ambitions. I will continue to serve on the committee. This transition makes room for a new passion, The Roots International Art Project. It’s a global art initiative co-founded by sculptor Marguerite Elliot and me. The Roots International Art Project connects women, nature, science, and art—bringing together women, women-identified, and non-binary artists from diverse backgrounds. Our collective focus rests on the intrinsic beauty of the natural world and the imperative to safeguard our environment. Please check it out!
